The cold weather season has begun! As a general rule, if the temperature is a wind chill of 25 degrees or higher, we will go outside some time during the day. (Mrs. Jones has a weather monitor to keep check on the daily temperature.) As you know, sometimes the dampness or “sun-less-ness” can make it feel colder than the reported degrees. In these cases, teachers will use their discretion in deciding whether or not their students go outside. If your child is going to need to stay in from recess for more than one day because of illness, please send a note in from his/her doctor.
So we can get our daily dose of fresh air, please make sure your child is prepared each day with a warm coat, hat and gloves.
Please make sure your child has boots if snowy. If there is a pretty snow, we’ll likely go out and play in it for a short period of time.
With the cold weather upon us, the morning car line time frame will be more closely enforced. 20 minutes is a long time for our “Car Crew Ladies” to be outside when weather is blustery. Following the established procedure will get our boys and girls in their places safely… and on time.
