At the beginning of each school year, various opportunities for parental involvement are introduced. In order to provide the very best learning experience for our children, we depend on parent volunteers to help with the "extras". Historically, our PTF (Parent-Teacher Fellowship) has contributed to our school by organizing fundraisers, school programs, fellowship events, and teacher appreciation activities. It is a good way for our parents to get plugged in to their child's school, while getting to know the other Gray Road families.
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
Each year the PTF, along with staff, organizes several events to encourage community among our school families.
These events include:
Chili Supper and Dessert Auction
Family Reading Night
These funds are used for facility upgrades, playground equipment, and new technology.
Spring Power Card/ Candy Bar Choice Sale
These funds are used for classroom needs and staff appreciation.
Bake sale is held each week on Wednesday during lunchtime. Students are able to purchase a baked item for $.25 each to enjoy after finishing their lunch. Besides giving the children something to look forward to each week, the bake sale also provides another opportunity to raise money for our school!
